I doubt I will ever say I understand food. I am learning some things though. This fitclick website I found lets me type in exactly what I eat and then tells the values of it in terms of calories and carbs and such.

I have entered every single thing I have eaten each day for a week.

I have been surprised at some of the foods and it has already allowed me to change a major habit.

I have been in sales all of my life and have carried a pocket full of lifesaver mints for the past 15 years. I would eat one often to stay fresh and give them to clients. It became my thing. Co-workers would ask and my regular customers would often stop by me just to grab one.

When I started this journey I was on that is a habit I kept. That is until a few days ago when I realized I was eating 600 calories worth on a slow day.

That is/was insane. One of my new favorite meals is a salmon patty. One of those is only 120 calories.

I have cut down to 3 a day.  That is still 180 calories but I am easily staying within 2000 a day so it is fine for now.
